Six Al(2)O(3)-supported optionally La-doped Ni catalyst were prepd. and used for steam reforming MeH at 400-500 degrees C and MeH/H(2) and H(2)O/MeH ratios 1:1 and 3:1, resp. The catalysts were studied for sp. surface and catalytic activity (coke deposition) under reforming conditions. The catalysts contg. 14-18% of Ni were recommended for practical use.
