Reduction of Energy Demand for Industrial Dedusting Plants
The conveying of gaseous process and exhaust air flows, and associated with it the pressure loss of the dedusting plant, causes a large part of the electric energy consumption of industrial installations. The reduction of the pressure loss of the dedusting plants is in this respect the key for the increase of energy efficiency. The introduced experimental results allow the knowledge-based application of filter bags up to 12m length. Together with suitable injector technology and new developed filter media the power demand for the dust removal can be lowered about over 40%. The introduced filter expert system permits the prompt identification of energy and operating expense lowering for new and existing filtering installations.
