Electrostatic Precipitation - So much is left to do
Electrostatic precipitation ( ESP) probably is the most energy efficient way to remove particles from gas streams. Even after more than a century of industrial application and scientific research, there is still work to do. Changing demands and new technological developments are creating new fields of application for ESP. On the other hand, a number of gaps in basic scientific understanding of ESP still need to be filled. Here, an overview of recent findings and developments is given.
