Kinetic Parameters for Combustion of Low Rank Coal with High Moisture
The pyrolysis reactivity and kinetic characteristics of Indonesia KBB coal with high moisture
were investigated at heating rate of 10℃/min in a thermogravimetric analyzer. The kinetic parameters of pyrolysis at various coals were determined and compared on the basis of a first-order reaction model. The effects of the chemical composition and moisture content on activation energy and kinetic constants were further studied in a Drop Tube Furnace. The results show that all of the kinetic constants and combustion efficiency increase with an increasing volatile contents and after drying to moisture content of less than 10%. Increasing moisture content will decrease the conversion and yield of combustion.
