This paper deals with the agglomeration process in a high-shear mixer. High-shear mixers rotate with a very high mixing tool speed such that not only a mixing effect, but also a grinding effect is achieved. The parameter study reported here was carried out to determine the parameters influencing mixing agglomeration. The results will help the user to decide which parameters have to be considered for an optimum mixing agglomeration. This article will highlight some of the findings obtained from the comprehensive parameter study.
