Desulphurization of flue gases
The paper presents the experimental results of sulphur dioxide absorption in water and lime suspensions in kt Bubbling Reactor. Efficiency of absorption was examined Bs the function of immersion depth of the sparger pipes and Ca2+ concentration of the lime suspensions. It is shown that chemisorption is twice as effective in sulphur dioxide removal than absorption in water. The more concentrated the lime suspension is, the less is the removal efficiency. Long-runs were performed as well.
