United States Filter Corporation has been granted a second concession by the state of Morelos to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant, for the city of Yautepec. The $6 million plant, expected to open in June 1995, will treat 5.6 million gallons per day (MGD) of raw sewage. Under the terms of the concession, the company will build the plant and operate it for 15 years, recovering its investment by collecting treatment fees over this period; then the city will assume control of the plant.
