IMPROVED SURFACE FILTRATION AT HIGH-TEMPERATURES WITH MICROFIBER FILTER FELTS
Environmental legislation is setting increased restrictions on allowed emissions. While textile filter media represent the most effective technology to retain or separate dust in emission flows, increased air pollution control requirements are demanding further improvements in textile filter media. At the recent Envitech trade fair in Dusseldorf, DuPont launched a new microfibre suitable for high-temperature filter media. This new product, based on the company's Nomex technology, allows for improved surface filtration, according to DuPont. In this article Friedrich Dilger of DuPont de. Nemours (Deutschland) GmbH discusses the features and benefits of this new development.
