This study was investigated the excess sewage sludge reduction by using hydrogen peroxide oxidation and alkaline hydrolysis. When alkaline hydrolysis was applied as a pretreatment of hydrogen peroxide oxidation, the excess sewage sludge reduction was more effective(49% TS removal). SCOD extracted from TCOD of sewage sludge is expected to use for organic carbon sources in activated sludge process.
