Effect of Solvent on Phase Behavior in Systems Containing Nonionic Surfactants
Previous studies have shown that the removal of removal of representative flux residues using aqueous nonionic surfactant solutions is closely related to the formation of a microemulsion. In this study, the effect of solvent on phase behavior in systems containing nonionic surfactant was investigated. The used addition of n-hexadecane, the most hydrophobic solvent among during this study, produced lamellar liquid crystalline phase(L α) at low temperatures and two phase microemulsion (w/o microemulsion + excess w) at temperatures higher 52 ℃.
