An effective development of the energy use is a world-wide objective in order to gain control over the problems of the increasing energy economy as well as energy engineering are challenged to the same extent. The authors describe the concepts of an effective development, their requirements for the structures of the energy supply for industrial and third-world countries. Presented are technical and economic possibilities in order to guarantee and effective development, whereby this is demonstrated on the example solid fuels.
