INTERNALIZATION OF EXTERNAL EFFECTS - REQUIREMENTS FROM AN ENERGY-ECONOMIC POINT-OF-VIEW
Proceeding from the initial steps conceived above all for the environmental sector, at present the efforts are directed towards finding practical concepts for the internalization. From the point-of-view of the energy supply, special demands have to be made on the internalization. The energy supply should be at all times sufficient and guaranted, on a long-term bases economically as cost-effective as posible, and at the same time environmentally compatible. the internalization can contribute to reach the energy-political objectives, aimed at, better and to find practical initial steps to a solution for the fundamental problems of our future energy supply. For this, it must stat globally and has to take into consideration all externalities, i.e. also the long-term perspectives for the world's energy markets and the aspect of preserving the resources in favour of the Third World as well as future generations. Here, still opens up a wide areas of responsibility for the internalization.
