Energy Calibration Accomplished by Proton-Resonance Scattering Simulation
The proton backscattering spectra of carbon thin films taken near the resonance in the carbon cross-section have irregular shapes. The computer simulations of these spectra can give unique values of proton energy, energy calibration, and film thickness simultaneously provided that the correct cross-section and stopping power are known.
