Further Investigation of Proton Elastic-Scattering Cross-Section on Carbon and Silicon
Elastic scattering cross-sections of protons on carbon and silicon in the energy region of 450 to 2200 keV have been measured at a laboratory scattering angle of 155 degrees. Digitized data of proton elastic scattering on carbon and silicon at different laboratory angles transferred mathematically from the previous graphic data were also listed. The present measured data have been tested on proton elastic scattering spectra of several samples with the aid of computer simulation. The results showed that these data worked reasonably well. Comparison between the measured data and the previous data showed good agreement. This fact indicates that the method used to transfer the previous graphic data to digitized data is reliable and useful.
