Electroconductive properties of epichlorohydrin rubbers and dependence on temperature and humidity
Typical epichlorohydrin rubber grades were prepared and their electroconductivity was investigated. The vulcanizates of this rubber show volume resistance values of 10(7)-10(10) Omega cm, depending on the grades. Moreover, the electroconductivity depends on the cure system used; the sulfur cure system leads to the lowest volume resistance. Furthermore, the influence of electrolytic salt, carbon black and other ingredients is shown. By a combination of various parameters the electroconductivity can be controlled in a wide range.
