Several factors influence the behavior of pastes. Besides others the influence of the shear history, the solid volume concentration and the agglomerate diameter are relevant factors. In this study, the named parameters and their impact on microstructure and macro-rheological properties of a limestone-meal suspension are investigated. In this context, the in situ particle size distribution is measured with an optical back reflection measurement probe in a rheometer.
