Scale is encountered often in producing wellbores. Coiled tubing (CT), combined,vith optimized nozzles and properly selected solvents, can remove soluble scales effectively from downhole equipment. CT with an optimized jetting tool can deliver the solvent under high pressure into the plugged section of a screen or low-permeability well section that simple bullheading from the surface would miss.
