Poly-L-lactide nanospheres were prepd. by emulsifying CH2Cl2 soln. of the polymer in aq. soln. of poly(vinyl alc.) at 0-50 degrees C under stirring. After removal of the solvent by evapn., the nanospheres were filtered out and analyzed for grain size. The size decreased with decreasing the mol. mass of the polymer. The polylactide nanospheres of size less than 100 nm were produced in many cases.
