Mirror-like PbS films have been deposited by chemical deposition on glass substrates from alkaline chemical bath containing lead nitrate, sodium thiosulfate and 1-thioglycerol, which was used to catalyze the hydrolysis of thiosulfate. Nanostructure characterization was carried out by x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy in order to determine the average crystallite size (61 run) and study the surface morphologies of the as-deposited films.
