A review, with 19 refs., of the methods for removal of PhOH from its aq. solns. on clays (bentonite, smectite, montmorillonite, sercite, zeolite) modified with quaternary alkylammonium salts. The mechanism of the PhOH adsorption on the clays was discussed.
