Carbon monoxide oxidation in the presence of hydrogen on supported platinum and gold catalysts
The low-temperature oxidation of CO in excess hydrogen on supported gold- and platinum-containing catalyst systems in the presence and absence of water was studied. It was shown that these catalytic systems ensure high degrees of CO conversion and selectivity over the temperature range of 50-150degreesC. The reaction was found to proceed in the oscillating mode under certain conditions.
