Vanadium oxide is known to have many different crystalline phase. Among them, the pure M-phase vanadium oxide only exhibits reversible transition of metal-to-insulate at transition temperature. The M-phase vanadium oxide is insulator below transition temperature but it is changed to conductor over transition temperature due to the phase transition from M to R phase. It is difficult to produce pure M-phase vanadium oxide via solution process. Generally, high temperature and pressure is required to form vanadium oxide so that hydrothermal route can be adaptable to synthesize vanadium oxide via solution process. To control the transition temperature, here we adjusted the kind and concentration of metals |
