제목 Eco-Friendly Polymer Having Antibacterial Moiety from a Renewable Resource
초록 As a result of increasing environmental concerns, extensive researches have been done on the synthesis of eco-friendly organic materials from renewable resources. Cardanol, a phenol derivative, has great advantages due to its unique properties such as improved flexibility and better processability comparing with commercial phenolic resins. Herein, a new eco-friendly polymer was synthesized from a cardanol. Synthesized polymer can be self-crosslinked by UV to form a transparent and highly glossy film without adding any toxic metallic crosslinkers. With antimicrobial property against P. aeruginosa and E. coli as well as good mechanical properties, this polymer is supposed to be a promising candidate for a surface coating material in near future.
