제목 Foam Extrusion of Thermoplastic Elastomer Vulcanizates using CO2 as Blowing agent
초록 Thermoplastic Elastomer Vulcanizates(TPEV) prepared by the dynamic vulcanization process, combine the elasticity of thermosetting rubber with the processibility of thermoplastics. TPEV is cost effective material for its simple processibility and eco-friendly material for its recyclability. TPEV can replace rubber (NR, CR, EPDM), flexible PVC, and other TPE except for foaming application. TPEV foaming was tried many times in industry, but with unsatisfactory result. In this study, for the melt foaming process, two new methods were tried. The first is the introduction of high melt strength polypropylene to TPEV system to provide high melt strength during foaming. The second is the introduction of nano-clay to TPEV system as nucleus for bubble formation as well as for crystallization.
