Comparison of various type of silicas in water-based coating |
| 초록 |
Silica particles have been used in water-based coatings to improve surface properties of coated film of cellular phone’s cases, protective films, high quality automotive clear coat and etc. The surface properties of the coated film is effected by the dispersibility and various type of silica, prepared by flame hydrolysis of SiCl4, ion exchange of sodium silicate or direct oxidation of Si. The coatings is changing from organic solvent-based coatings to eco-friendly water-based coatings in spite of relatively increased defects such as pores or ripples and disadvantage of lower drying speed.We prepared water-based silica coatings with various type of silica sol and studied coating rheology and film properties. |
