Synthesis, Characterization, Photophysical and Electrochemical Properties of Schiff Bases and their application in Lighting Devices |
초록 |
Two novel anthracene (1) and pyridyl (2) based schiff bases were synthesized in single step reaction and characterized by various spectroscopic, photophysical and electrochemical methods. The compound (1) and compound (2) show deep-blue and orange colors, respectively in solid state under UV radiation. The photoluminescence (PL) emission spectrum in chloroform solution shows deep-blue (415 nm) light emission for compound (1). However, any significant emission color was observed for compound (2) in chloroform due to the intramolecular rotation of the molecule, which non-radiatively disrupts its excited state and affords its molecule non-luminescent. The color of compound (2) in solid state arises from the aggregation induced emission. |
