제목 Analysis of Fatty Acid Composition of Biodiesel Produced from Dunaliella sp.
초록 Microalgae are effective lipid producer and becoming the object of interest as a potential future energy source. Even though any lipid composed of triglycerides can be a raw material for biodiesel, which is one of the most valuable renewable energy, the quality of biodiesel depends on the fatty acid composition. Different species of microalgae produce different type and amount of lipids. The most convenient method used to analyze lipid composition is GC-MS analysis after transesterification reaction that converts lipid to FAME. We analyzed FAME from Dunaliella sp. by GC-MS and assigned the each peaks of chromatogram, relatively large amount of which are determined as C16:4, C16:3 fatty acids.
