Fluorine atoms substituted directly to the backbone of conjugated polymers have shown great promise in enhancing the efficiency of polymer-based BHJ solar cells. In comparison to other acceptor units, tetrafluorine units have the advantage of decreased steric encumberance. It will lower LUMO energies and has relatively small band gaps, combined with good solubilities, favorable geometries, and promising charge transport properties, raise the intriguing question of whether tetrafluorine-based polymers might be effective donor components of BHJ solar cells.. The HOMO levels of the polymers HS-5477, HS-5478, HS-5479, HS-5480 estimated from the oxidation onsets were around -5.6 eV. Among the polymers, HS-5480 exhibit the greatest performance with Voc of 0.71 V , Jsc of 8.68 mA/cm2 and FF of 0.44, giving the PCE of 2.71% |
