제목 Effects of protein stability on adsorption kinetics at biointerface
초록 Protein adsorption exerts significant effects on the success of biomaterials since the adsorbed protein molecules determined cell adhesion and subsequent cellular responses, including spreading, mobility, proliferation, and differentiation. This study investigated the kinetic modeling of protein adsorption to silica surface using site-directed mutant proteins which possess different structural stability. The adsorption kinetic data was collected using in-situ ellipsometer. Competitive adsorption was analyzed using radioactive iodine (I125). Our result demonstrated that protein structural stability exert significant effects on adsorption behavior and less stable protein showed greater competitivity.
