With the recent development of aircraft, pulsed power systems and wearable/portable electronic devices, there has been many attempts to enable the power sources to be miniaturized and flexible. In this study, by introducing ultra-small precious metal nanoparticles such as palladium and gold into a TiO2@polydopamine (PDA) nanowires/P(VDF-HFP), core-satellite structures were formed and coulomb-blockade effect could be promoted, giving rise to an enhancement of energy storage. Compared to pure P(VDF-HFP) and TiO2@PDA@Au NWs/P(VDF-HFP) nanocomposites, the TiO2@PDA@Pd NWs/P(VDF-HFP) nanocomposite films exhibit a remarkable discharged energy density along with low energy loss and high breakdown strength (BDS). This research provides a unique and promising way to improve a discharged energy density due to greatly suppressed energy loss and significantly enhanced BDS. |
