제목 Encapsulation of caffeic acid using polycarprolactone by emulsion solvent evaporation method
초록 Caffeic acid(CA) is used as an antioxidant and Inhibits the formation of aflatoxin. But, CA is lower oxidation stability in atmospere. In this work, CA was encapsulated for improved stability with polycaprolactone(PCL) as wall materials and characterize as type of surfactant were studied. The PCL is suitable for use in cosmetics because a biodegradable polymer, eco-friendly and non-toxic. The PCL encapsules contaning caffeic acid were prepared by emulsion solvent evaporation method. The particle size and zeta-potential of encapsules were investigated bydynamic light scattering and the diameter and the form of encapsules were observed by scanning electron microscope. The long-term stability of CA in the cosmetic formulation was investigated for 6 weeks. And the entrapment efficiency of encapsules were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography. As a result, the encapsule with zwitterionic surfactant were confirmed sphere, smallest size andhighest entrapment efficienty.
