제목 Fluorescence Color Change via Imine-Cysteine Interaction on Novel Conjugated Polymer Coated Silica Nanoparticle
초록 Silica nanoparticles (SiNPs) are used to varied applications in chromatography, bioimaging, sensor and the synthesis of multifunctional nanocomposites. Conjugated polymers (CPs) introduced SiNPs possess several useful features: conjugated polymer-SiNPs (CP-SiNPs) are bright, stable and biocompatible. Conjugated polymers (CPs) have received much attention as signal-transducing elements for sensory applications due to their signal amplification properties and the versatility in their molecular design. The detection of important biological thiols such as cysteine is highly relevant to a variety of fundamental physiological processes in organisms. Cysteine is one of the key components in all living things. Herein, we synthesized novel conjugated polymer containing aldehyde and introduced such polymer on the surface of silica nanoparticle. We found that this CP-SiNP exhibited a visually noticeable green to orange fluorescence color change via cysteine-imine interaction.
