제목 A study on characterization and synthesis of polymers  using Furan monomer derived from Biomass
초록 Recently, thermal or photo curing system using furan monomer from biomass have been studied by several workers. UV curing technologies especially are developing very fast due to reduced energy consumption, high curing speed, and reduction of waste. In this study, we synthesized several materials with double bonds made from 2,5-furan- dimethanol derived from biomass, which would replace petrochemicals to renewable and eco-friendly resources. the materials cured by UV light source have been compared with thermally cured polymer. The structures of oligomer were confirmed by FT-IR and ¹H NMR , thermal and mechanical properties of polymers were characterized using DSC, TGA, and UTM.
