제목 Properties of Wood Flour/ Polypropylene / Clay Composites
초록 Wood flour / polypropylene (PP) / clay composites were prepared by melt blending with a twin roller blades rotor mixer. In this study, wood flour / PP /clay composites were made from wood flour (40 mesh), PP, maleic anhydride polypropylene copolymer (MAPP) and organoclay (Cloisite-15A). The composites were melt-blended using an optimum mixing conditions (175℃, 30rpm, 10min) determined through preliminary experiments. MAPP was used as a compatibilizer to assist the exfoliation of organoclay (Cloisite-15A) in the PP matrix and to increase the mechanical and thermal properties. The influence of the compatibilizer and organoclay was investigated, respectively. The mechanical and thermal properties of wood flour / PP /clay composites were measured using a universal testing machine (UTM), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), thermomechanical analyzer (TMA) and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA).
