A flexible, lightweight, and conductive non-woven mats based on cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) and/or carbon nanotube (CNT) were prepared by simply controlling the casting patterns in an ethanol coagulation bath. A successful homogeneous coating of PEDOT:PSS on cellulose nanofibers occurred by means hydrogen-bonding interactions between the hydroxyl functionalized CNF and the electronically charged PEDOT:PSS, as shown by FTIR spectra. Further coating of CNT produced a substantial improvement on the electrical conductivity and the specific capacitance of the resulting CNF-PEDOT:PSS-CNT non-woven mats. Moreover, CNF-PEDOT:PSS-CNT non-woven mats showed higher and flexible mechanical properties. It is concluded that the sensory non-woven mats are demonstrated to have excellent tailorability, electrochemical stability, and damage reliability. |
