제목 Inhibition of Hyaluronic Acid Degradation Through Conjugation of Polyphenol Based Antioxidants
초록 Polyphenol based antioxidants are habitually found in various plants and their complex chemical structures comprises unsaturation, hydroxyl and catechol units. Herein, four conjugates were synthesized by grafting different polyphenol based antioxidants onto hyaluronic acid (HA). 1H NMR and UV-Vis spectra confirms covalently bonding and UV assay highlights its substitution rates increases with feeding moles. The antioxidant scavenging ability of conjugates has higher for the conjugations having longer path of delocalizing radicals and their vice-versa. Also resulted conjugates with unsubstituted algycone show higher inhibition for the  degradation of HA then sugar unit substituted algycone by hyaluronidase. These improved inhibition of HA degradation properties arises from possible and complex chemical interactions of hyaluronidase enzyme with polyphenols and HA macromolecular chains.
