Development of Polylactide based-materials Using Supercritical Carbon Dioxide – Dichloromethane |
초록 |
Polylactide has been known as eco-friendly polymer due to its biodegradability and biocompatibility. Supercritical carbon dioxide is green solvent which has been used widely in polymer processing. We successfully developed polylactide-based materials using supercritical carbon dioxide – dichloromethane system as an effective media for polylactide-based material processing compare to common method such as solution or melt blending. Perfect stereocomplex polylactide was obtained at 350 bar and 65 oC in relatively short time. This condition was also suitable for stereocomplexation of poly (L-lactide) and poly (D-lactide-co-caprolactone). The addition of small amount caprolactone fragment absolutely enhances the melt stability compare to the neat homopolymer. We also successfully developed bio-stereo-nanocomposite polylactide by combining stereocomplex polylactide and clay particles with perfect stereocomplex degree and exfoliated clay nanostructure. |
