제목 organic/inorganic multilayer passivation for OLEDs using VDP polyimides based on vacuum thermal evaporation as an organic interlayer
초록 The penetration of water vapor and oxygen has been a critical issue for organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) because organic active layer and electrodes of OLEDs are degraded by water vapor and oxygen. For this reason, the organic/inorganic multilayer passivation method is proposed as one of the solution which can block water vapor and oxygen. In this research, vacuum-deposition polymerized(VDP) polyimides formed by using vacuum thermal evaporable dianhydrides and diamines under high vacuum condition is applied as an organic interlayer. In the result of applying VDP polyimides to organic/inorganic multilayer with inorganic interlayer deposited by plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition(PEALD) process and measuring the shelf lifetime in 60℃ and 90% RH, multilayer-passivated device showed prolonged lifetime compared to inorganic layer-only passivated devices. we also confirmed that VDP polyimides performed well as an organic interlayer for the organic/inorganic multilayer.
