Improvement of Electrical Performance of Clay Nanocomposites |

Clay-polymer nanocomposite materials have attracted a great deal of attention in order to develop new hybrid materials providing functional properties. The synthesis and characterization of the polymer nanocomposites based on the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/polystyrene sulfonate and clay were performed. Sodium deodecyl benzene sulfonate was used to increase the basal spacing of the clay to introduce polymer onto the clay galleries. The combination of the polymer and ionic liquid was used to lower the surface resistivity of the nanoclay. The polymer nanocomposites were characterized by XRD, TEM,TG analysis and surface resistivity. |
