Unzipping of graphite nanofibers to sulfonated graphene nanoribbons and its composite with Nafion for proton-exchange membrane fuel cells operating under reduced relative humidity |
초록 |
In this work, the proton conductivity of Nafion membrane significantly improved by incorporating sulfonated, nitrogen and fluorinated graphene nanoribbons (SO3H-NFGNF) as potential multifunctional fillers. The membrane was then exploited as potential candidate for PEMFC operating under low relative humidity condition. SO3H-NFGNF/Nafion composite membrane increases the compactness of ionic domains and enhances the water absorption. The 1 wt% SO3H-NFGNF was incorporated into the Nafion matrix that constructing efficient paths for proton conduction at the SO3H-NFGNF and Nafion interface. The proton conductivity of SO3H-NFGNF/Nafion and pristine Nafion membranes were measured at low humidity condition. As a result, SO3H-NFGNF/Nafion membrane exhibited higher proton conductivity. |
