Heavy metal in water was the cause of water pollution. The chemosensor for heavy metal ion was prepared through the nano particle synthesis that has the optimal particle properties. The poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)-polyethyleneimine (PSMA-PEI) core-shell chemosensor that can indicate for copper cation in water was synthesized as 3 steps. The indicating method of the chemosensor for copper cation was that chemosensor dissolved in certain concentration of copper nitrate aqueous solution. The deposited dye in core of PSMA-PEI core-shell as hydrophobic site showed the fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET) phenomenon. The prepared PSMA-PEI core-shell that dye was deposited was measured by UV-visible spectrometer and fluorescence spectrometer. When chemosensor and copper cation was reacted, absorption band of UV-visible spectrometer was increased at 650 nm and changed to blue color as copper cation concentration. These results clearly indicate that the PEI on the nanoparticles’ surface also exhibit high affinity with cupric ions, like the free PEI chains in water. |
