제목 Interpenetrating Structures of Poly(vinyl alcohol) and Sulfonated Polysulfone for High Temperature Fuel Cell Membranes
초록 In this study, ion exchange membranes were prepared by interpenetrating network (IPN) method and the controlled nanostructures of the membranes were investigated. The membranes were prepared by blending of PVA and sulfonated polysulfone with SSA. A bridge between SSA and PVA molecules reinforced the network and provided extra ion conducting paths. SEM and AFM were used to examine the controlled nanostructures of the membrane. The properties, such as ion exchange capacity, proton conductivity, water uptake, and thermal stability, of the polymer membrane were investigated by using Impedance analyzer, DSC and TGA. The fuel cell performance of MEA will be also evaluated at various high temperature conditions.
