ITO-free organic solar cells using highly conductive Poly (3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene): p-Toluene Sulfonate (PEDOT:PTS) anode. |
초록 |
The presence of a transparent conductive electrode such as indium tin oxide (ITO) limits the reliability and cost price of organic photovoltaic devices. In this work, we prepared ITO-free organic solar cells using a transparent tosylate doped poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene: p-Toluene Sulfonate) PEDOT:PTS anode with high conductivity and high transparency. The transparent poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) electrode was prepared using the oxidative polymerization of EDOT via vapor phase polymerization using Fe(PTS)3 as an oxidant. All solution-processbale layers such as PEDOT:PSS and photoactive P3HT:PCBM films of solar cells were spin coated. PEDOT:PTS anodes of various thicknesses were prepared for use in solar cells. The conductivity of a PEDOT:PSS film is enhanced by more than 700-folds on addition of ethylene glycol (EG) or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Organic solar cells with modified PEDOT:PSS inserted between the P3HT:PCBM layer and conductive PEDOT:PSS layer which shows the remarkable efficiency. Additionally, as this composite anode is solution-processed, it is a step forward towards low-cost large area processing. |
