제목 C70 derivatives as electron acceptors in polymer photovoltaic cells
초록 It has been reported that C70 derivative ([70]PCBM) has similar electronic properties as the analogue of C60 derivative, but has a wider and stronger absorption in the visible light region because of the bigger size and elongated shape of C70. From the optimized system of active materials for the best performance, short-circuit current density (Jsc) and incident photo-to-electron conversion efficiency (IPCE) values of P3HT:[70]PCBM solar cells were higher than P3HT:[60]PCBM blend cells. The more content of [70]PCBM for P3HT:[70]PCBM solar cell might be caused by the less miscibility of [70]PCBM with P3HT and bigger size of [70]PCBM grain. In this work, we conducted experiment that focused on increasing the miscibility of C70 derivatives with P3HT by changing the alkyl chain length of ester group in [70]PCBX ([6,6]-phenyl C70-butyric acid alkyl ester) and thus characterize the P3HT:[70]PCBX photovoltaic cells.
