Recently, supercritical fluids (SCF) have received a great deal of attention and are currently being used as environmentally friendly solvents for a range of materials synthesis and process applications including polymerization, polymer purification. In general, SCFs offer mass transfer advantages over conventional organic solvents because of their gaslike diffusivity, liquid-like density, low viscosity, and surface tension. In this study, we prepared the polymer/MWNTs nanocomposites using supercritical carbon dioxide. MWNTs used in this study are raw MWNTs modified with a methacryl amide. The nanocomposites of polymer/MMWNTs were charaterized by SEM, TC-30(thermal conductivity), and DMA. |
