Controlling hydrophobicity of PVDF based polymer for blood contacting device application |
초록 |
Nowadays, the demands for extracorporeal treatments are upsurging due to the increasing rate of cardiovascular diseases. Hence, there is significant interest for blood-contacting devices with better blood compatibility. In order to achieve this objective, hydrophilic materials including PEG or zwitterionic groups have been adapted by many researchers. However, the lack of film stability of these materials has been a fatal problem for practical applications. In this presentation, we will suggest the new approach for overcoming this limitation and obtaining better blood compatibility through the hydrophobically modified PVDF-based polymers. |
