제목 Spontaneous assembly of viruses on polyelectrolyte multilayers and its applications to energy devices and biological sensors
초록 A novel means of incorporating ordered bio-functional viral assemblies into an electrostatic thin film nano-assembly and its application to anode material of lithium ion battery and biological sensors have been demonstrated. Due to a unique phenomenon of polymeric interdiffusion of polyelectolyte multlayers, functionalized viruses can be spontaneously self-assembled and ordered on the matrix of a polymeric surface. The ordered viruses further can be biomineralized and utilized as electrode materials for lithium ion batteries. In addition, through a non-conventional nanolithographic methods, viral assembly can be patterned and used for the detection of specific biomolecules, which confirms the feasibility of this technique for biological sensor applications.
