제목 Effect of protective films on reflective metal surface in space mirror applications
초록 Reflectance characteristics of aluminum and silver as the most commonly used reflective materials for space mirror applications with/without protective layers such as SiOx and TiO2 were investigated in the near UV to IR range. Reflective metal layers were deposited on SiC substrates by the evaporation and sputtering method, and protective layers were deposited on reflective metal layers under the different treatment conditions by sol-gel method. According to the thickness of protective layers and the angle of incidence, reflectance characteristics were measured by the specular reflection method. When designing the space optical devices, these results could be expected to be applicable to choice of the protective layer materials and determination of the layer thickness in specific wavelength range.
