Thermal Conductivity and Mechanical Interfacial Properties of MWCNT-filled High Density Polyethylene Nanocomposites |

In this work, the effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) on thermal conductivity and mechanical interfacial properties of MWCNT-filled high density polyethylene (HDPE) nanocomposites was examined with MWCNT content from 1 to 10 wt.%. Thermal conductivity of the nanocomposites was tested using a thermal conductivity analyzer. The mechanical interfacial properties of the nanocomposites were studied in critical stress intensity factor (KIC) measurement. From the results, it was found that thermal conductivity and mechanical interfacial properties of the nanocomposites were enhanced with increasing the MWCNT content due to high thermal conductivity and superior mechanical properties of MWCNT. |
