In this work, epoxy resins, which contained cyanate group (ECI) in the main chain, were synthesized. And, the effect of ECI content to DGEBA on thermal, mechanical, and morphological properties was investigated. The compositions of DGEBA/ECI blend system were varied within 100:0, 80:20, 60:40, 40:60, 20:80, and 0:100 wt%. The thermal stability of the cured specimens was monitored by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Also, the critical stress intensity factor (KIC) of the cured specimens was performed to study the mechanical interfacial properties and the morphological fracture surfaces after KIC tests were observed by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). |
